Post 7 : Changes to my study program
Hi everyone!
I’m currently studying public administration. My career is directly linked to the State, as you work in public policies that influence the lives of Chileans, creating solutions for public problems and promoting the common good.
In my personal experience as a university student, I would have liked to see the implementation of real internships in public services in the first years of the career plan to show the importance of the career in the State.
Also, I would have liked to see mandatory courses that encourage critical thinking about information, because misinformation is a problem that affects us all.
Therefore, this type of misinformation can be reflected in decision making, causing citizens to believe such information, which is very dangerous because it affects people’s lifestyles. So, being such an important public administrator, it’s necessary to put an end to misinformation in order not to cause a negative impact on people.
The study plan will be developed over 5 years, with a multidisciplinary approach, resulting in various types of subjects, such as, accounting, law, statistics, and other fields. So, these subjects use various teaching methods to achieve the best learning results, for example, the use of technology for scientific research. Then, it can be said that the workload is very heavy because of its importance in the lives of all citizens.
Honestly, I think that the career isn’t given so much importance. This can be seen in the facilities of the faculty, since it’s small, so it has very little space for the number of students, whether in green spaces, study spaces, etc.
ByeBye.
I can't imagine how such a small space could house two races. We are too many students for the Huerfanos building.
ResponderBorrarit would be great to have real internships prior to the final internship

ResponderBorrarI hope that we finish the career trained to work in state institutions
ResponderBorrarI agree about the information. Fake news are a big problem nowadays and journalists must pursue truth.
